A light syllable (one mora) ends in a short vowel /ə, ɪ, ʊ/: V. A heavy syllable (two moras) ends in a long vowel /aː, iː, uː, eː, ɛː, oː, ɔː/ or in a short vowel and a consonant: VV, VC.
