It was released on 20 March 2022 as the third single from the Smile's debut album, A Light for Attracting Attention, by XL Recordings. The song was first performed by the singer, Thom Yorke, in October 2021 at the Royal Albert Hall.

It was written by Swedish songwriters Daniel Eklund and Paul Rein as an English rendition of the song "Me pierdo junto a ti" ("I Am Lost Next to You") by Spanish singer Natalia (which had lyrics in Spanish by Ignacio Ballesteros Díaz).
